Two Peas in a Pod

The crystal pools that lead to your soul,
Draw my gaze, as a needle to the pole,
You give me the strength of a willow in the gales,
Lift my spirit on a pillow and fill my sails,
Your sleeping breath the ocean's swell,
My pale brim full from the endless well,
Sometimes I see you through the eyes of a beast,
The table set, with you the feast,
Then the mist parts, lifts and clears,
You hold me close and calm my fears,
You are my life, my love, my inner thread,
Through you my heart leads my head.
You are the lightning,
I am the rod,
Our happy fate,
Two peas in a pod.
